Profile

The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a member of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Group, was established in 1988 to enhance the flow of capital and technology to developing countries. MIGA’s mandate is to promote foreign direct investment into developing countries to help reduce poverty and improve people’s lives. MIGA executes its mission by providing investment insurance against non-commercial risks in developing countries (Political Risk Insurance). MIGA guarantees cover projects in a broad range of sectors including infrastructure, finance, agribusiness, manufacturing, services, tourism, oil, gas, and mining. This position will be in the Operations Department of MIGA (“MIGOP”). The Operations Department has primary responsibility for underwriting guarantee projects in these sectors. To maximize its development mandate, MIGA must stay focused on supporting the needs of MIGA’s developing member countries, while complementing the activities of other public and private insurers. MIGA’s operational priorities focus on: investments in: IDA countries, conflict-afflicted environments, and climate change projects; support for complex deals, especially those involving project financing (infrastructure and extractive industries); and support for South-South investments. The Operations Department is seeking an Information Analyst to oversee accurate and efficient filing of MIGA’s records, largely consisting of guarantee related information. The information analyst will report to the Program Manager in MIGOP. Note: If the selected candidate is a current Bank Group staff member with a Regular or Open-Ended appointment, s/he will retain his/her Regular or Open-Ended appointment. Duties and Accountabilities:
The Information Analyst is responsible for, among other duties: • Ensure MIGA’s compliance with WBG Archives Policies and Procedures; • Provide records management training and guidance to MIGA staff on records management policies and procedures, scanning and uploading records to WBDocs (Documentume) and assist staff with same; • Oversight of digital assets management systems such as WBDocs, shared drives and OneDrive (Microsoft), including maintenance of information architecture that aligns with WBG guidance and industry standards. Identify and correct issues that affect access and retrieval of records and assist staff in retrieving information from digital assets management systems; • Provide monitoring reports on records management compliance; • Collaborate with MIGA Legal department, MIGA ITS and WBG ITS to ensure records management IT systems align with MIGA’s Access to Information Policy (AIP) and MIGA’s records preservation needs. • Evaluate and test digital assets management systems to Improve user experience, efficiency and consistency through the exploration of IT system enhancements and innovative solutions.; • Provide analytic, research and professional support to others; • Coordinate client requirements gathering services. Creates and manages administrative and project folders; • Ensure transfer of records to Archives and remote repositories; • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of services according to agreed-upon service standards; • Ensure filing is completed in timely fashion and works with staff to meet compliance guidelines; • Perform ad-hoc assignments upon request of manager.
Selection Criteria:
• Bachelor’s Degree in information management, library science, or records management;
• Minimum Years of Relevant Experience: 4 Years in Information Management in a global institution in either private or public sector;
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills encompassing international business, ability to conduct research independently;
• Appropriate training in records management, scanning, imaging, and application of computer technology in the records and information management environment;
• Expert knowledge of practices for and experience with developing, organizing, and preserving records/library collections;
• Strong knowledge of MIGA’s or **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s information systems and databases, including WBDocs;
• Expert knowledge of practices for developing, organizing and maintaining data storage systems
• Fully proficient at providing assistance and training to other staff members;
• Fully proficient knowledge of records management practices including retrieval, reference, research and advisory services;
• Fluency in English is essential;
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and ability to present ideas and information both clearly and concisely;
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking skills with strong sense of initiative and responsibility;
• Fully proficient in Word Perfect, Excel, PowerPoint and other similar programs;
• Ability to manage significant quantities of statistical data and format such data in a user-friendly manner is critical;
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment;
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain effective relations within and outside the WBG and to promote
collaboration within the Team to meet objectives. Competencies:
