The Georgia Tech Library seeks a confident, energetic, forward-thinking and highly collaborative Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian to join the Campus Engagement & Scholarly Outreach (CESO) Department. The CESO department consists of fifteen librarians who collaborate on delivering innovative services, outreach programs, engagement activities, scholarship initiatives and instruction to students and faculty across campus.

The Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian will be collaborating with the Georgia Tech commercialization units to create and develop the Librarys Business Intelligence research service that will provide in-depth IP and market/industry research to selected Georgia Tech researchers and entrepreneurs. Given the broad range of research at Georgia Tech, a successful candidate will be eager to collaborate across a wide range of science, engineering and business. The librarian will serve as the project manager for the Librarys Business Intelligence service and work closely with other librarians on the team, including the Patent Information Analyst, the Business Reference Librarian and others.

The Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian will be the liaison to the Scheller School of Business. The librarian will build relationships with Scheller School of Business faculty and departments and identify new opportunities for collaboration, including instruction and course development support for entrepreneurship and business. Instruction will be an important part of the position.

The Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian will not be responsible for individual student consultations and will instead refer those to the Business Reference Librarian. There are no evening or weekend reference desk hours since the Georgia Tech librarians do not staff a reference or information services desk.

The successful candidate will contribute to Library Next initiatives and projects, and will serve as a connector between the Librarys Innovation & Ideation support services and the student entrepreneurship groups on campus. In addition, the candidate should be prepared to participate in scholarly research and be professionally active.
