Under general supervision, is responsible for the direct provision of library services to adults, children (birth through age 12), and/or young adults (age 13 through 18); planning, presenting, and evaluating developmentally appropriate library programming; advising, assisting, and instructing customer's use and evaluation of library materials and information sources; conducting outreach in community venues including senior centers, community groups, schools and child care settings; actively promoting use of the library, its resources and its services; providing reference and reader's advisory instruction and assistance; and advocating for adults, young adults, and/or children within the library organization. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment. May exercise functional supervision over assigned staff.

Designs, implements, and evaluates the promotion of the library for adult services, children's services, and/or teen services, in the library and in the community.
Assists with maintenance of circulating collection through weeding as well as recommending new and replacement materials.
Demonstrates a commitment to professionalism and ethical behavior.
Exhibits critical thinking skills that support a positive and creative approach to problem solving.
Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.

Master's Degree in Library Science, Library and Information
Studies/Science or Information Studies/Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited university or obtain within six (6) months of hire.
