What part will you play?
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Manager, Library Participations Reporting. The Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Library reporting team, which has ownership of reporting lower risk title’s participation statements. This will involve not only the oversight of the reporting team but also designing and driving future state review procedures, future state workpaper and workflow processes and driving further efficiencies using the new Participation system (aka Sylvester). The Manager will work very closely with other Participation Reporting Managers and Directors on all aspects of this team’s functions and identifying titles to be assigned to the Library reporting team.
Outside of their team function, the Manager, Participations is an important constituent in ongoing cross-divisional initiatives related to leadership development, system design and testing, knowledge sharing, soft skills training, mentorship opportunities, and special projects.
Manage all aspects of Library Participations Reporting team functions including: review of participation statements to ensure financial integrity and contractual compliance, further develops the semi-automated review procedures, increase the volume of titles handled by the Library reporting team.
Identifies further automation and efficiencies in review procedures, reconciliation procedures and workflow processes, and makes recommendations to Director and management on methods for improvement. Communicates any obstacles, challenges, enablers and successes.
Perform root cause analysis on manual statement adjustments.
Performs or reviews ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
Develops and trains staff on statement preparation and review. Delegates work to staff appropriately.
Incorporates appropriate internal controls (including SOX requirements) into project plan and monitors adherence to internal controls.
What do we require from you?
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Entertainment industry experience required.
Minimum 5 years previous participations, accounting, audit or financial related experience required.
Previous financial accounting experience preferred.
Previous experience with interacting and managing relationships with senior level management level across multiple organizational areas.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Public or private audit and/or consulting experience preferred.
Experience with system implementations and testing preferred.
Experience in a large corporate environment preferred.
Experience in managing people in a fast-paced, results driven, team-oriented environment.
Financial reporting for media and entertainment strongly preferred.
Distribution of film, TV and physical goods products for Media and Entertainment.
Effective communication and leadership.
Effective change management.
Extremely strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Aptitude to quickly learn new technologies and information systems.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to work efficiently under time constraints.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities.
Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Must be customer service oriented.
