Overview
The Jerome Robbins Dance Division of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts is the largest and most comprehensive archive in the world devoted to the documentation of dance. Chronicling the art of dance in all its forms, the Division acts as much more than a library. We work with the dance community to preserve the history of dance by gathering diverse written, visual, and aural resources, and work to ensure the art form's continuity through active documentation and educational programs.

The Dance Division’s Library Page works to support the Division’s maintenance of its collections, assisting with collections care and outreach activities. Library Pages play an integral role in ensuring that our resources are available and accessible to the millions of patrons that visit the Library each year. Library Pages are responsible for organizing the library's collections and preparing the library facilities for program use. Our Library Pages are able to apply what they’ve learned in school while continuing to gain essential work experience with a team of fun and knowledgeable colleagues and leaders. Joining NYPL as a Library Page is a great opportunity to learn about the inner-workings of one of the busiest libraries in the country and is the stepping stone to a great career.

The library page position is scheduled for up to 19 hours per week, including evenings and Saturdays. Schedules are variable based on library needs and may be subject to change.
