The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Library Specialist CL3 in Library Access Services located on the Gorham Campus. Normal hours are evenings, Sunday – Thursday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm.
The Library Specialist CL3 provides a variety of services and support including information services, reference, serials, e-reserves, and answering basic technology/computer questions. This position will have the needed computer skills to assist with Interlibrary Loan services, digitization projects, and other digital initiatives. Excellent customer service is required. The Library Specialist will be responsible for the security and closing procedures for the library in the evenings. Judgment and initiative are frequently exercised in providing public services and interpreting policy. This position has extensive in-person, telephone, and online interactions with students, faculty, staff, researchers, and the public, and utilizes a wide range of resources in a variety of formats. As a first tier technical support person, the Library Specialist provides assistance with equipment, software, and hardware available in the Libraries.
Pays $15.50 per hour ( .40 shift differential). Complete Classification Specification
High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D)
One year of related library, public service, or administrative support experience
Relevant experience working with library resources
Experience working in various computer environments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and be flexible between several diverse components of the job
Bachelor's degree or an Associate’s Degree
Experience using integrated library systems, databases, and websites
Experience in library access and circulation services
Interest in digital projects
