Librarian II & III(Aircraft/Aerospace) We seekseveral Librarianwithin the Aircraft/Aerospace industry in Mesa, AZ. These are long term, 12 month contract opportunities. The Information Services team helps employees across Clients create, access, organize, manage, disseminate, evaluate and disposition information as an enterprise strategic asset. They optimize the latest developments in information management strategies to support Clients innovation and competitiveness, delivering high quality, cost effective solutions on a global scale. The Information Services team works with its business partners across Client to make sure that the right information gets to the right people in the most efficient way. As experts in information management and the licensing of technical and business information, they ensure the proper authentication, management, curation, storage, distribution, analysis and disposition of data through the information lifecycle. Team members evaluate data for its potential re-use across the enterprise, they analyze the authority of the sources the data comes from, and the restrictions on data governed by the terms of its use. The collection management specialist must have experience supporting a company/corporate library environment. Responsibilities: Identify, evaluate and recommend new and ongoing information to meet business needs. Support maintenance and updating of policies and service delivery governance related to the development of a corporate collection in support of business needs and requirements. Coordinate evaluation of electronic resources and services. Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements for electronic resources. Participate with business partners and end users in business planning to meet information needs. Understand, report, and track usage data, including COUNTER reports, to evaluate subscribed content. Understand, implement, and maintain means of authorized access to licensed electronic information resources. Collaborate with Supplier Management and suppliers on electronic subscription contracts. Collaborate with Supplier Management to support collection development. Acquire, process, store, retrieve, and disseminate information, and disposition per policy by performing various information management related assignments. Document an auditable business case for all purchase decisions. Develop and update SOW related to the various required content to support the enterprise. Contribute to the development of information management products and services. Collaborate with and support other Information Services lifecycle job functions. Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience An MLIS/MSIM or equivalent degree, or being enrolled in an equivalent degree program preferred. Basic Qualifications (Required): Experience supporting collection development in a company/corporate library. Extensive experience in information and knowledge management principles, practices, industry applications/systems and collection development practices. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in multiple formats, as well as organization and time management skills. Candidate must have a comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be comfortable with basic mathematical and statistical principles. Candidate must have experience with and a comprehensive working knowledge of an ILS (Integrated Library System). This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. Desired Qualifications: In addition to the basic qualifications above, candidate must have comprehensive experience in and knowledge of Library/Information Science services and managing a collection of mixed media resources. Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Candidate must have a solid working knowledge of contracts, licensing terms and copyright of electronic subscriptions and information. Ability to monitor and manage collection budget; track collection usage; prepare and deliver related presentations and statistical reports. Ability to gather and incorporate data from a variety of sources (usage data, interlibrary loan, evidence-based selection (EBS), etc.) and provide relevant statistical data and metrics to support collection analysis and development decisions. Candidate must have understanding and comprehension of MARC (Machine Readable Cataloging). Ability to work independently, as a team member, and across organizational boundaries. Ability to develop solutions to new problems. Experience with Tableau or similar data analytics tools a plus.
