Hours per week Approximately 15 hours per week.
Work Schedule
Hours may vary but schedule requires working on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Occasional overnight shifts required as needed.
Pay Rate $12/hour
Minimum Experience/Education
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Bachelor’s degree.
Two years of experience working circulation in an academic library.
Two years of customer service experience.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work regular service hours at the Library’s Circulation Desk.
Develop good relationships with library users.
Be familiar with library services and resources and provide basic reference and technology assistance to library users.
Interact with staff, temporary, and student assistants in a positive manner.
Support Library security in maintaining a safe and secure environment for users and staff in the library and help assure library resources are secure.
Help maintain library usage statistics.
Have the ability to troubleshoot computer, copier, scanner, and printer issues.
