Job Summary

Assist with the May graduation commencement ceremony, responsible for processing incoming transcripts; responding to various internal or external inquiries; answering phones; front counter operations; maintaining student records and filing systems; facilitate enhanced use of technology within the office; managing student workers.

Essential Functions

1.Processes and distributes incoming transcripts received via mail or email.
2.Maintains, updates and distributes Records and Registration Office activity calendar on a monthly basis and annual Registration and Records calendar for website.
3.Manages routine maintenance of paper, film, and electronic student files.
4.Serves as Registration and Records Office liaison with Office of Information Services.
5.Updates and maintains Records and Registration Office website.
6.Interviews, hires, trains, schedules, and supervises Registration and Records Office student workers.
7.Serves as primary for answering phones.
8.Register students and make schedule changes as requested.
9.Send letters of non-attendance letters to students as needed.
10.Prepare, store and destroy semester registration materials each term in keeping with records retention practices.
11.Manages leave of absences and withdrawals and reports those to the National Student Clearing House.
12.Assist with the planning and execution of the May graduation commencement ceremony for both graduate and undergraduate students.
13.Demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
14.Supports mission, vision and values.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

1.Assists with transcript processing as needed.
2.Facilitates technology changes within the office.
3.Performs all other duties or projects as assigned by the Registrar.

Minimum Qualifications

1.High school graduate with collegiate experience.
2.Excellent organizational and communication skills.
3.Accurate, reliable and punctual.
4.Ability to treat students, faculty and staff with respect while being able to explain rules and requiring compliance with those rules.
5.Skill in dealing effectively with a diverse student population.
6.Experience and high degree of skill using technology within an office setting.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelors Degree

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
