Library Office Associate

Summary of Duties:
The Moritz College of Law Library is seeking a Library Office Associate to provide complex office and secretarial support to three key departments within the library including Communications and Marketing, Law Library Administration and Information Technology. Primary duties include maintaining the Assistant Dean’s schedule; organizing and maintaining departmental files; gathering and inputting data into a library statistical database; arranging meetings; supply ordering; processing travel and reimbursement requests; preparing and proofreading correspondence; maintaining office equipment; coordinating access into the library and law school (i.e. key distribution and ID-card access); provides support to teaching staff; serves as a backup in the library’s circulation department providing customer service including assisting patrons at the circulation desk during rotating circulation desk shifts, stack maintenance, and processing of OSU, OhioLink and ILL materials; assists with special projects as assigned.
Six months of experience (600 hours of training) using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex; six months of experience (600 hours of course work) in office practices and procedures; six months of experience (600 hours of course work) in customer service.
Bachelor’s degree; experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work both independently and as a team member; demonstrated attention to detail; knowledge of library computer applications, good problem-solving, prioritizing, and organizational skills; knowledge of Sierra, OhioLink, OSU library system and catalog a plus; customer service experience; ability to lift up to 20lbs.
Target Salary: $13.46 - $15.38 Hourly
