As a key member of the NCLS administrative team, the Public Services Coordinator reports to the Library Director and assists in the planning, supervising, implementing and oversight of the activities and operations of all the public service areas of the library system .The Public Services Coordinator manages all aspects of Circulation, Youth Services, and Information services with direct supervision over paraprofessional, management and professional public service staff.
The ideal candidate must have experience with adult and youth programming, advanced computer/technology skills, proven leaderships skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. The Public Services Coordinator must also have excellent communication, strong multi-tasking skills, good judgement and the ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively in order to determine proper course of action.

The position requires a Master's degree in library/information science from an ALA accredited university; mandatory Librarian's Professional Graduate Certificate from the Georgia Certification Board with a minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in library services, including two (2) years of administrative and supervisory responsibility at the managerial level preferred. Management experience of multiple public library facilities preferred.
