Student Library Assistant in DBI and Shelf Prep Weekdays

Required Related Experience
Minimum of 6 months of employment experience.
Ability to work sitting at computer for extended periods.
Ability to locate, shelve and retrieve volumes from stacks.
Ability to maneuver (push, pull, steer) full book trucks, handle and pack volumes in boxes, and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
Weekdays between 8 and 5
Total 10 to 15 hours/week
Assist with department processes including item labeling/stamping, and routine binding shipments.
Retrieve, inventory, and pack physical items for transfer.
Withdraw and recycle items.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Attend closely to detail and technical standards, rules, and procedures.
Closely follow instructions and ask for needed clarification.
Display flexibility with changing direction, pace, and/or priorities.
Accept constructive feedback.
With training, learn to conduct searches, make basic edits in library database, and file items according to LC call number.
Manage time and maintain records of tasks completed.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
record-keeping or filing, data entry, excel spreadsheets, databases, noting visual detail, and working flexibly with a team
