Job Summary Under the direction of the Circulation Supervisor, provides support for the Library by performing Circulation functions and maintaining Circulation information. Processes Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery requests. Develops marketing ideas and executes them for the Access and Delivery Unit. Assists other departments as needed. Displays excellent organizational and follow-through skills. 6. Effectively demonstrates knowledge of databases and resources, including electronic resources used for research. 7. Able to effectively use and troubleshoot office equipment such as fax, copy machine, cash register and telephone. 8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good mathematical skills. 9. Knowledge of library procedures and medical\/scientific terminology. Required Qualifications Education: Library Technology certificate or AA required; any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience: 3 or more years of library experience required. Preferred Qualifications Experience: Academic library experience preferred. Provides support by answering questions, telephones and assisting library users with training on library resources including assistance with the online public catalog. Checks materials in and out; renews materials upon request; processes fax requests; schedules study room reservations; sorts and processes incoming\/outgoing mail. Operates office equipment such as copiers, fax machine computers and cash register. Performs opening and closing procedures for all floors as needed. Percentage Of Time 25 Job Duty 2. Process Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery requests. Percentage Of Time 20 Job Duty 3. Assist with planning and executing Library displays, exhibits and events. May assist other library departments with special projects as needed. Percentage Of Time 15 Job Duty 4. Accurately enters all money collected into the Library Integrated System (ILS) and cash register, balance cash drawer and run\/print all cash reports according to university policy and best practices. Adds money to patron accounts and troubleshoots print management system as needed. Performs moderately complex technical support duties. Percentage Of Time 10 Job Duty 5. Effectively lead general tours of the Pumerantz Library including the J and K Virtual Reality Learning Center (VRLC) for individuals, small and large groups. Ability to train users on virtual reality equipment. Percentage Of Time 10 Job Duty 6. Organizes and carries out tasks related to marketing for the Access Services Unit in collaboration with department manager, supervisors and other departments as needed. Uses graphic design principles to create signs, flyers and posters. Percentage Of Time 7 Job Duty 7. Provides effective reference assistance, including use of electronic resources. May cover the reference desk as needed. Percentage Of Time 5 Job Duty 8. May process books, journals and media according to established procedures. Performs intermediate repair on library materials.
