The library\/resource centre is the hub of learning within the school where activities are delivered to support the learning of the pupils and raise standards, and we are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to manage, maintain and develop the library, its books, information technology and resources and promote the library as a dynamic and welcoming place for study and learning. You will work closely with teaching staff to develop appropriate resources to support all areas of learning. You will have experience of working in both an education and a library environment and be able to actively promote reading and learning to students aged 11 to 16. The librarian has responsibility for all facets of the library from stock selection to independent learning and curriculum support supervision. World book day activities, author visits and displays are all part of the job, as well as maintaining the library as a pleasant place to study and use for all the school community. You will be a valued member of our friendly team who is reliable, dependable and committed, working 25 hours per week over 5 days per week. You will work term time weeks only plus training days for which you will receive equal monthly payments throughout the year. For this you will be paid Pay Band 7 (Points 19 - 22) \u00a310,810.25 \u2013 \u00a311,914.58 pro rata.
