Profile

Summary The person in this position will work in our corporate library and records center in Minneapolis. This position supports the implementation of records management policies, assists project teams, and manages processes in support of the records management system. The work will include: Assisting users with requests for information and locating a variety of information for use in completing project work Organizing and filing electronic and paper project file materials Data entry in the corporate catalog system, applying classifications to records and all other library materials Regular shelving, retrieval, and organization of paper files and reports Managing the transfer of files to and from off-site storage Coordinating activities with records and library support liaisons in our other offices in addition to the corporate office in Minneapolis Minimum Qualifications Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in a library or records management role. Other relevant experience in an administrative role may also be considered Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Accuracy in data entry Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Problem solving skills Commitment to client service Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as needed and also effective working as part of a team Ability to lift 35 pounds Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship Acceptable driving record or reliable alternate transportation Preferred Qualifications College degree or other certification, particularly specialized courses in records management or library services Experience working with library or records management systems, especially InMagic Presto and Genie Experience working in a professional services firm Barr Engineering Co. reserves the right to consider other legitimate, non-discriminatory factors that are not specifically listed.
