DON Pathways Internship Program
You will serve as a Student Trainee (Librarian) in the Technical Services (Cataloging) Section of the Navy Department Library of the NAVAL HISTORY AND HERITAGE COMMAND.

Responsibilities
You will perform original, descriptive, and modified cataloging of naval, maritime and related subjects using established local practices as well as national and international standards.
You wil assist in the preparation of administrative reports and maintain statistics.
You will support library technicians assigned to copy cataloging, database maintenance, processing materials, and maintaining serials.
You will conduct inventory of collection and assist with digitization projects.

Qualifications
To be eligible for the GS-1499-07, you must meet the following level of education requirement:
You must have completed 1 academic year of graduate level education; or completed a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement (upper third of graduating class, GPA of 3.0 or higher, or membership in a national scholastic honor society); or completed 5 academic years of pre-professional study.
You are eligible if you are currently accepted for enrollment or enrolled in an accredited college, advanced degree program, or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree.
Eligible candidates must be currently enrolled in a Library Science Degree Program.
