), one of three branch libraries, provides research services, instruction, and access to collections supporting the College of Natural Resources (
), the Department of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences (
), and the university community. Both the
and the Research Engagement department engage with faculty members, students, and researchers across the full lifecycle of research and scholarship, offering dynamic services, spaces, resources, and technologies that enable all forms of teaching, learning, and discovery. The Research Engagement team of nine librarians collaborates with faculty and students in their disciplines and on emerging tools and techniques for visualization, data curation and management, bibliometrics, and computational analysis in an evolving scholarly communication environment. All research librarians build and participate in programs and partnerships that enhance research productivity and competitiveness and support interdisciplinary collaboration.

Libraries invites applications and nominations for the position of Director, Natural Resources Library (
) and Research Engagement Librarian.
The Director, Natural Resources Library and Research Engagement Librarian leads and manages the
and provides expert services for faculty, students, and staff across the research lifecycle, including information discovery, data management, visualization, application of research tools, and scholarly communication. S/He oversees the services and operations of the
, including supervising the Library Technician who is responsible for day-to-day operations. The position serves as liaison to the College of Natural Resources (
) and the Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (
) in the College of Sciences, working closely with faculty members and administrators. S/He manages collections in forestry and environmental resources, geospatial science, and marine, earth, and atmospheric sciences, working collaboratively with librarians in Collections & Research Strategy. S/He designs and teaches specialized workshops and seminars that incorporate complex, rapidly evolving research and collaboration tools, data science and analysis, and the use of technology-rich spaces for interactive teaching and visualization. In partnership with university research administration, s/he advises researchers in evaluation of grant opportunities and in meeting funder and university requirements for providing public access to research publications and data. The incumbent participates in library planning and serves on library-wide committees, task forces, and teams.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
• Advanced degree in the physical or natural sciences
