Description University of Colorado\u00a0 The Auraria Library issearching for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable leader to fill our Pedagogy andAssessment Program Lead Librarian position. This program lead position is charged with engaging the Library\u2019sEducation and Outreach Services Department in forward-thinking pedagogicalapproaches, techniques, and best practices for student learning assessment. ThePedagogy and Assessment Program Lead Librarian will provide programmaticdirection in the areas of pedagogy, curriculum, and assessment that issupportive of the Library and campus faculty and their departments and manageour internal Peer Teaching Observation Program. This individual will liaise with the faculty development centers andparticipate in their initiatives to solidify the Library\u2019s role as exemplarycampus educators.\u00a0 Instruction Facilitatesone-time instruction sessions (face-to-face and online) in a broad range ofdisciplines to undergraduate and graduate students. Participates in teaching andassessing programmatic instruction for foundational courses. With the aim of creatinginclusive learning experiences, designs and implements curriculum andcorresponding assessments. Develops and maintainscurriculum maps, program plans, and other related materials for academicprograms Participates in orientations,including: new student orientation, transfer student orientation, new facultyorientation, and new employee orientation. Creates and maintains webguides, tutorials, and other digital learning objects. Plans and implements trainingand professional development opportunities for librarians on all aspects oflibrary instruction, including theory, pedagogy, best practices, and availableresources. Assessment Builds upon a programmaticstudent learning assessment for library instruction for both undergraduate andgraduate programs. Leads curriculum mapping initiativesand communicates with campus partners to integrate instructional servicesthroughout campus programs, including integration into the three campuslearning management systems.\u00a0 Outreach Plans,facilitates, and evaluates campus and community outreach with the goal ofrepresenting the Library, its services and resources at campus events. ResearchHelp Delivers and tracks research help services across a large,complex, and rapidly changing information landscape. Start Date: Flexible, Springor Summer 2018. https:\/\/\/ Qualifications MinimumQualifications Master\u2019sdegree from an ALA-accredited library school or program or equivalent. Two years of experienceteaching information literacy. Experience implementing andreporting on student learning assessment initiatives. PreferredQualifications Additional advanceddegree. Significantexperience with curriculum mapping or other program-level assessmentinitiatives. Experiencedesigning professional development opportunities about pedagogy or studentlearning assessment. Experience teaching credit courses, informationliteracy related or other relevant discipline. Salary andBenefits Salaryis\u00a0$58,000-$65,000\u00a0commensurate with skills and experience.
