The Role Join our professional and proactive Learning Design team. As the Knowledge Advisor- Information Librarian you will lead the departmentu2019s access and implementation strategies for fit for purpose resources, teaching tools and technologies. You will develop professional relationships with academic staff and provide appropriate and targeted information services to support their teaching and research. You will work in programme design teams as a learning resource expert and support staff in the development of learning activities and resources. You will be an enthusiastic user of technology and also be proactive in instigating and developing professional relationships. Duties u2022 Proactively identify and evaluate sources and/or develop tools and resources to support quality teaching & learning u2022 Build, evaluate and maintain a collection of Open Education Resources to support Ara staff and students learning. u2022 Lead the development & curation of the institutionu2019s resource repository (Te Kete/Equella) u2022 Create resources and improve procedures to increase staff awareness about their legal obligations under copyright legislation u2022 Deliver & provide advice on steps towards modernizing products & resources u2022 Provide training & create resources for academic staff capability development Skills/Experience u2022 Tertiary level qualification or equivalent experience u2022 Professional library qualification u2022 Extensive experience in delivering professional library services and research support in a tertiary academic library environment u2022 Sound knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of collection development and information services for a tertiary library u2022 Knowledge and experience of learning technologies If you have an enthusiasm for working in a busy tertiary environment and have a customer focussed approach then we would like to hear from you.
