The purpose of archiving is to retain all valuable project records in a logical, coherent system and safe location for easy retrieval. The archivist will establish a complete account of what is contained in our project’s hard files and organize these files in a logical and systematic manner in order to prepare project records for the formal archiving process.  Responsibilities include:Conduct a comprehensive audit of project hard copy filesCreate a list of existing documents by developing and updating master file indexSort, classify, index, and record existing documentationHandle other archiving and project specific tasks, as applicableProvide live audit support, as neededClassify and file project documents to prepare for archiving and prompt retrieval, following standard instructions according to Chemonics standard guidanceCreate reports and memos outlining the status of documentsCoordinate with the project teams to incorporate miscellaneous unfiled documents into filesMark and label all project files according to Chemonics’ standard operating proceduresOther regional operations duties as required Qualifications:Associates degree  required, Bachelor’s degree preferredAt least one year of administrative experience preferredExperience with data entry, filing, cataloging, retrieving, and preserving recordsAbility to write and verbally communicate clearly and conciselyStrong attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAdvanced understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook including creating and modifying documents and scheduling appointments for multiple stakeholdersAbility to work both independently and in a team, coordinating with staff as work assignment requiresDemonstrated interest in international development projectsDemonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity Application Instructions:Please visit the Career Center to submit an application by COB Thursday, January 18th. Please contact Candy Jones if you have any questions about the application process.
