Reports to the Coordinator, Library Services. Plan, coordinate, develop, and oversee daily access services including interlibrary loan, document delivery and photocopying.

Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are acquired through the successful completion of an Associate’s degree (or two years of college level study - 60 hours minimum) and library experience or a Bachelor’s degree. Recent experience with interlibrary loan systems; DOC LINE or OC LC Article Exchange preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology highly desirable.

1. Well versed in administrative and office skills with advanced skills in MS Office suite and email.
2. Must have excellent analytical/problem solving abilities.
3. Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with patrons and develop positive relationships.
4. Demonstrates well developed communication skills, both verbal and written, necessary to communicate effectively with patrons.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

1. Plans, coordinates and oversees daily access services by:
Receives book and article requests from health system physicians, nurses, pharmacists and staff, and other libraries through resource sharing software.
Keeps detailed records of ILLs (Inter Library Loans) both as a borrower and a lender.
Assures interlibrary loan borrowing and lending practices conform to U.S. copyright law and the National Commission on New
Technological Uses of Copyright Works (CONTU) guidelines for ILL.
Prepares reports related to interlibrary loan and document delivery.
2. Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:
Other special projects as assigned, i.e. physical processing of print resources and collection weeding.
